3D Laser Scanning
Deployed 3 dimensional laser scanning technology (Corrscan™) for accurate measurement and mapping of irregular surfaces.
Performed comprehensive in-line inspection (ILI) data assessments as well as ILI monitoring tool accuracy assessments in accordance with API 1163.
Provided AutoCAD support to corrosion related programs including baseline values, corrosion damaged areas, monitoring points, coupon and inhibitor injection point locations, weld packs, road crossings, repair locations, damaged insulation locations, pipe supports, recur dates, and extent of damage analyses.
Developed and managed corrosion inhibitor injection programs to optimize the injection of inhibitor. Conducted corrosion monitoring programs to ensure that inhibitor injection rates are sufficient to mitigate corrosion.
Performed corrosion monitoring of barrier walls including design, development, installation, training of on-site personnel, and data analysis.
Developed numerous Corrosion Data Management Programs including data evaluation, trending, establishment of monitoring frequencies, database maintenance, and chemical inhibitor monitoring.
Developed engineering defect analysis calculations and procedures in accordance with API 510, 570, 653, National Board Inspection Code (NBIC), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), and customer specifications.
Systems analyzed include high pressure gas systems from 2” to 36” in diameter and operating at pressure ranges of 100 PSI to 4,000 PSI; water injection piping systems; oil transportation lines up to 42” in diameter with pressures ranging from atmospheric to 5,500 PSI; instrument tubing; and industrial waste and sea water piping systems.
Conducted metallurgical analyses to determine failure modes and causes.
Developed coating application and handling procedures for various service environments.
Performed work under numerous Master Service Agreements for corrosion management services encompassing cathodic protection monitoring, database management, data acquisition, AutoCAD and design services, data analysis, conceptual studies, historical data reviews, longwave technology introduction and corrosion engineering.
Managed and directed corrosion quality assurance programs including oversight of field inspections, data management and reporting.
Managed automated systems and ultrasonic services including maintenance, development and expansion of current ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Flux Exclusion (MFE), automated UT and radiographic scanning services and capabilities.
Repair Program Design and Oversight
Provided design and implementation oversight of repairs for pressure vessels, tanks, boilers, heaters, and piping damaged by corrosion. Oversight has included development of welding procedures for repairs and provision of on-site technical support during repairs.
Developed comprehensive Operations & Maintenance and training manuals in accordance with code and federal regulatory requirements.
